At the forefront of international research and with a focus on high-quality teaching and student support, we have grown and developed significantly in recent years, and are consistently rated as one of the world’s best universities.
At a time of huge change and opportunity within the higher education sector, this is an excellent time to join us as our new Director of Accommodation, Catering and Events. The post holder will also be in charge of the majority of catering, and all-day nursery provision across the University’s five principal campus locations.
Furthermore, the Director will look after the conferences, and core events across the University campuses and engaging with wider City stakeholders on events as required. Responsibility for the University’s involvement in the wide variety of Edinburgh Festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe when over 1 million visitors arrive on the campus each August, will also fall under this post’s remit.
This exciting position will be attractive to an innovative and experienced senior leader, with significant commercial skills and financial awareness. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of running a large and complex business area and managing and motivating staff.
